Indian Road Cres., Toronto

After cracks started developing in this home owners cinderblock retaining wall it was finally time for a replacement. Upon inspection it was found that the elevation of the backyard this retaining wall supported dipped down. This lower area was essentially unusable space so Verti-Cretes designer took this opportunity to take this space back. Additional Verti-Block units were added to raise the grade at the back of the property, increasing the usable space to its maximum. Measuring 4.88m (16’) at its maximum height at the back of the property, the retaining wall continued towards the front of the property and tapered up to less than 2’ along the driveway. During this length, the finish on top of Verti-Blocks specialized Top Block units transitioned from grass to concrete sidewalk for a completely seamless appearance. Unsurprisingly, neighbours congratulated the owner on his reconstruction achievement.
