Thames Valley Bridge Underpass, London

A pedestrian pathway along the Thames River was in need of rehabilitation. Weathered gabion baskets were replaced with updated Verti-Block retaining wall components. In comparison to gabion baskets, engineers appreciated working with the consistent dimensions and weights that the Verti-Block segmental retaining wall system offered as it made engineering calculations much more accurate and reliable. Finished with asphalt overtop and an integrated pedestrian guide rail, the pathway was again restored for years of worry free use and enjoyment by the local community.
