Looking to update its Snow Leopard exhibit, the Toronto Zoo needed to remove an old, existing structure to make room for a more modern housing facility for the animals. This required the design to incorporate a 3.05m (10’) Verti-Block retaining wall in order to provide the necessary space for the facility. Due to poor soil conditions, Verti-Crete engineers utilized 4,000 lb, 5’ Mass Extenders on the lower course to provide the necessary stabilization for the wall.
